BETWEEN THE MANAGEMENT AND THE STAFF. A SUBJECT-ORIENTED STUDY ON HRM PROFESSIONALS’ VIEW ON THEIR WORK
The reconcilability of conflicting interests and the manageability of the individual life-cycle constitute the core of the HRM paradigm. However, the articulation of these premises into the operational realm depends on their internalization by the HR employees. Positioned between the employers and the employees, the HR workers often have to juggle with their own career ambitions and ethical concerns, while trying to align other workers’ occupational paths with the company objectives. This paper explores the HR professionals’ own view on their work and its contradictory aspects. It offers a subject-oriented approach and draws on in-depth interviews with HR professionals in Turkey
