Doppler versus histopathology in assessment of egyptian psoriatic patients treated by acitretin
Psoriasis is one of the most common chronic inflammatory skin diseases, characterized by erythema and plaques that may be painful or pruritic. Diagnosis of psoriasis is based on clinical examination, and its severity is assessed by the Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI). But still the histologic examination is the reference standard for the final diagnosis. Sonography has proved to be a noninvasive imaging technique for studying soft tissue in dermatologic diseases as psoriasis.
