About Gallbladder and Biliary Tract Disease

Disease of gallbladder and biliary tract are diet related which results in gallstones in gallbladder commonly known as Cholecystolithiasis or in bile duct are Choledocholithiasis. Patients with gallstones are asymptomatic but symptomatic gallstones results in abdominal pain in some cases which could be extreme pain, vomitings and nausea. Other disease conditions include benign and malignant tumors of gallbladder, Cholangiocarcinoma which is a form of adenocarcinoma of intrahepatic or extrahepatic bile duct.
