Biography

Zsuzsanna Bacsi was born in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary in 1961. She holds an MSc degree in Mathematics (issued by ELTE University, Budapest, Hungary), an MSc degree in Economics (issued by the University of Western Transdanubia, Sopron, Hungary) and a PhD in Mathematics, Operations Research (issued by ELTE University, Budapest, Hungary). She is an associate professor at the University of Pannonia, Veszprém, Hungary – Georgikon Faculty, Keszthely. She teaches economics, international economics, regional economics, economics of tourism, and related subjects – in Hungarian and in English, too. She is a member of the PhD School of Economics and Business Administration at the University of Pannonia, and supervises PhD theses on topics related to regional development and tourism development.Her research interests cover matematical economics including chaotic processes in economics and economic impacts of climate change, regional inequalities, tourism development – including health tourism and cultural tourism.  She has been involved in international research projects including research funded by the INTERREG programs of the European Union. Recently she has been working on research dealing with the relationship of societal diversity and economic performance. She is the author of more than 140 publications, including scientific papers, book chapters and books. Her profile is accessible in Google Scholar, Researchgate and Academia.edu.

Her research interests cover matematical economics including chaotic processes in economics and economic impacts of climate change, regional inequalities, tourism development – including health tourism and cultural tourism.
