Biography

Dr. Wu Ma is currently working as a postdoc of forest carbon dynamics, the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources, University of Vermont (United Sates). Dr. Wu Ma received his Ph.D. degree in Forest Resource Science from School of Natural Resources at West Virginia University from 2012 to 2016 (United Sates). His dissertation dealt with building a multiple-objective framework for sustainable forest management under uncertainty in the U.S. central hardwood region. From 2009 to 2012, Dr. Wu Ma earned his Master at the Chinese Academy of Forestry (China). He got a B.S. in forestry at HuaZhong Agricultural University from 2005 to 2009 (China). He has published 23 papers in 2017.

Research Interest

Dr. Wu Ma’s research interests focus on biodiversity, modeling forest growth and yield, forest management of various intensities, forest carbon dynamics under climate change and natural disturbances, optimization with uncertainty. These interests address the issues of environment, ecological modeling, climate change, natural disturbances, and optimization under uncertainty.
