Hospital Universitario Central de Asturias

It is the national reference unit for respiratory diseases of labor origin through its center attached National Institute of Silicosis. It is also a national reference in Skull Base Surgery and Surgery of Parkinson's Disease. It also has accreditation as a national reference (CSUR) in Family Myocardipathies and treatment of Neuropathic Refractory Pain. It was founded in 1989, after the merger of the different hospitals in Oviedo, under the name of Central Hospital of Asturias; Taking its current name from the agreement of 1990 with the University of Oviedo. At the moment it is located in the complex of the Cadellada, in the avenue of Rome, Oviedo. The complex offers 1,039 beds, with 40% of single rooms and 33 operating rooms among other facilities.
